I'm Still Here!
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
It’s been a minute!
I know, I haven’t exactly been consistent with this newsletter or the blog over the last few months, and the three of you who had been looking forward to the newsletter coming out must be rather disappointed.
To catch everyone up really quickly, MARGO, the 1947 Chris-Craft Rocket is done, out of the shop, and up to her new life on the lakes in the Rockies.

Isn’t she lovely?!
The Sponge Docks Skiff is also completed and outfitted with a trailer, but it’s waiting on a new owner to reveal themselves (see below). The Visit Aurora bike project, and, as always, my own boats, are moving along with updates soon to come, and I’m just about to begin on a total, bottom-up restoration of a 1948 Chris-Craft Deluxe that I’m really looking forward to.
As I’m finally sitting back down to write some more, please reply to this email and let me know if there’s any subject matter or type of content you’d like to see more of (or at all)!

Boats for Sale
Currently, Just Lovely, the 1929 Chris-Craft Triple Cockpit, is up for auction! The auction ends on Thursday, September 14, 2023, so click here or on the photo below to get over there before it’s too late to make this beauty yours!
The newly-completed Sponge Docks Skiff is a 13’ perfect lake/river boat that you can take home today! Finished by Denver Custom Boatworks, all proceeds of the sale benefit the Rocky Mountain Wooden Boat School.
Want to Work on Your Own Boat?
Perhaps for you, building your own boat or restoring a classic woodie is the most satisfying piece of a boating hobby, and I completely understand! I also know just how overwhelming it may feel to know where to start or how to troubleshoot certain problems as you go.
You are not alone, which is why I have begun consulting and training individuals in just this position. Some are building a boat from scratch in their garage and others are looking to learn how to restore and work on their own antique boat alongside me in my shop.
Either way, you can expect to have me right there with you — providing guidance, an extra set of hands, access to specialized equipment, a fully-equipped shop, and all else in between. There are no projects too big or too small, so if you just acquired a boat and are not sure where to start or need some help with paint and varnish, we can work together to make it happen the way you want.
